From your inputs to a usable result
01
Explore a tagged name pool
Filter 1,000 unique names by browsing group, editorial style, starting/ending text and letter count. Hide exact names or shuffle the view.
02
Shortlist and hear everyone
Keep up to sixty names, add custom spellings and record ratings for up to twelve participants on this device. Missing ratings remain distinct from Prefer not.
03
Compare and keep your choices
Compare complete ballots, mark finalists and park alternatives without losing their ratings. Export the whole shortlist as TXT or CSV, or save a JSON backup.
Before you start
Where is my project saved?
Projects are saved in this browser for this site account. Download a JSON backup before changing devices or clearing browser storage.
Are origins or meanings verified?
The library is an authored naming pool with editorial themes and styles. It does not infer origins, meanings, pronunciation, popularity or suitability for a particular animal.
How are family ratings compared?
Only non-parked names rated by every current participant are ranked: fewer Prefer-not ratings first, then more points. Equal results share a rank. Missing ratings are not zero, and incomplete ballots stay unranked.
Can family members vote on separate devices?
Ratings are entered and visible in this browser project. The app does not send voting links, authenticate individual voters or synchronize a live poll. Use a JSON backup to move the project.
Will filtering hide names from exports?
No. TXT and CSV include the whole shortlist, parked names, participant ratings and missing responses. Browsing and shortlist filters only change the screen view.
Can I resume later?
Reopen the saved project on this browser and account, or restore its JSON backup. Keep backups in a place you trust because they include your supplied material.
